Our underwriting department will then check if your insurance and insured vessel are compliant with the demands of the Bunker Convention.

If this is not the case you will be informed which steps are to be taken in order to obtain a Bunker Convention Blue Card.

If your insurance and insured vessel are compliant with the demands of the Bunker Convention you will receive a seperate e-mail, mentioning a weblink, username and password, enabling you to download your Bunker Convention Blue Card electronically.

This number can be found at the right top of your Certificate of Insurance starting with 500.....

It might be that you have a War Risk cover in place up to the hull value of your vessel. It is compulsory to have a War Risk cover in place under the Bunker Convention. This means that an additional War Risk cover is required, covering the excess between the hull value of your vessel up to the limit of liability required under the Bunker Convention. It might also be that you do not have a War Risk cover in place.

Please note that we can provide you with a quotation, either for the excess cover or for the full cover up to the limit of liability required under the Bunker Convention.
